Show me Dramatic Eye Makeup
An almost theatrical take on the art of makeup, applying dramatic eye makeup is one style that most women want to
learn. Creating the dramatic look for your eye makeup is nothing short of art but you when you get the hang
of it, you can use this style for events and special occasions that call for a more professional makeup. This
may take a lot of time and practice and that is not all, you should also know how to find the right eye shadows,
eye liners, and mascara.
The Eyebrows
Keeping your eyebrows well groomed is one way of making sure that you look fresh and well-made up all the time,
even if you are not wearing any makeup. Schedule regular appointments to have your brows waxed or threaded or you
can choose to tweeze them yourself. If you are unsure on how to shape your eyebrows, you can have a professional do
it for you one time and then you just need to follow that shape every time you do it on your own. In applying
dramatic eye makeup, the brow pencil you choose should be darker if not the same color as your brow hair. If you
choose a lighter color, the line you put becomes noticeable.
The Eye Shadow
Having several palettes is better than buying eye shadow piece by piece. This way, you do not have to
worry that the hues you are using do not match each other. Use a light shade of eye shadow from the lash line
to just beneath the brow line. You can choose to use a rounded shape or a winged shape depending on the shape
of your eyes and whether you have sagging or wrinkles evident especially at the corners. Apply a darker shade
of eye shadow right on the crease of your eye. This makes your eyes look bigger. A medium hue of the
eye shadow acts as an accent and should be blended onto the crease and then to the area above the crease until the
brow line.
The Eyeliner
Dramatic black eye makeup calls for dark eyeliner so choose dark brown, dark grey, or black. You can opt for
liquid eyeliner if you are confident that you can hold it steady in application. Otherwise, you can use an
eye liner pencil. The eyeliner should be applied on the upper and lower lash lines but remember not to let the two
lines meet as it will make your eyes look small. You can choose to end the line with an upward stroke
from the inside corner of the eye to the outside.
The Mascara
The mascara that you apply will make your lashes appear fuller and even longer. You can use a lash culler
before applying the mascara to make your eyes look bigger. In applying the mascara, turn the brush
applicator twice in the tube and never pump it. Brush from the inside lash outwards and repeat it once only.
Otherwise, the mascara might form lumps on your lashes.
Creating a dramatic black eye makeup may take a lot of practice, but when you perfect it, you will be the star
of any event that you attend!
