The Natural Eye Makeup Look

A natural makeup is perfect for the busy women of today. Since too much makeup is not in and most people are into the simple makeup looks, learning how to apply natural eye makeup can be very helpful. This type of look is ideal for those women who are in the corporate world or those who are constantly out of the house but who do not want to look pale at all.

Applying Foundation

• Basically, the foundation is used to cover blemishes and other imperfections in the face. However, it should never be overdone. Apply foundation just enough to make the face look smoother. Apply foundation by starting with dots on the forehead, nose, cheeks and chin.
 
• Wet the sponge for better results. Apply until every area on the face looks even. The area that it should cover is from the hairline down to the jaw line, including the neck.

Applying Concealer and Blush On

• A concealer is used to hide imperfections, dark circles and blemishes.  When applying it, make sure that the color you choose matches your skin tone. A color that will match your skin tone is something that is a shade lighter than your skin.

• Stick concealer is better than the liquid concealer as it can bring better result and is not easily wiped off.

• Apply concealer only in areas that are dark. A concealer should not be used as a foundation. Apply around the nose or beneath the eyes, or in areas where there are dark spots.

• The blush on should be of light shade and color should match the eye shadow and lipstick.

Eye Makeup and Lipstick

• Eye makeup may differ according to the skin tone, the shape of your eyes, or your preference, but generally, a natural makeup is one that sets a light mood on the face. First, apply a light eye shadow from the lash to the brows. Use a neutral shade such as nude or light brown.

• Next, apply a medium color (almost similar to your skin tone) and blend up to the brow bone. This technique will create a slight impression of depth on the eyes.
 
• Apply a darker eye shadow in line with the colors you use, along the upper and lower lash lines. Avoid thick lines because it will make the makeup not that natural anymore.

• Do not use a bright shade of lipstick. You can use nude, plum, beige, or flesh colors instead.

Doing the Eyebrows

• It is true that the eyebrows can define a face, so you have to be careful when shaping the eyebrows. You should remember that thick eyebrows make you look younger while thin eyebrows makes you look older.

• Put an arch on your eyebrows. Avoid making it a single curve with no art whatsoever. Also, use eyeliner to fill spaces and make the brow look more defined.

• Use a shade of brow pencil that is one shade lighter than the original color of your eyebrows. For example, if you have black eyebrows, you have to use dark brown brow pencil.
